3 Tips to Speed up Windows 10
If your laptop is starting to slow down and you want to keep it fast and fresh, try these quick fixes.
1. Disable startup programmes
When your laptop is taking a long time to start, it may be that you unwittingly have lots of programmes that automatically start up and are always running in the background.
Try this quick fix
Right-click on the Start button and select Task Manager. Click the Startup tab (choose More details if you can't see the Startup tab) and view the list of programmes that start up on your laptop. If you see something you don't use, right-click it and Disable.
2. Run a disc cleanup
A disc cleanup will get rid of all the rubbish on your laptop, improving performance and freeing up space on your hard drive.
Try this quick fix
It's simple - search for 'Disk Cleanup', run it and select the option 'Clean up system files'.
3. Restart your laptop!
Really? Yes, as basic as it sounds, restarting your laptop really does speed it up! The 'restart' function clears out its memory and stops processes that take up resources.
Try this quick fix
Don't leave your laptop turned on for days - and don't just shut down and then turn on, this isn't the same as restarting it. Make sure you frequently choose the 'restart' option and freshen up your laptop.
